Thank you to all who attended our March dinner and dance, with special thanks to Anna Witham and crew who put on a great feast for us. We had a record (for this venue) 88 folks join us on Saturday for our March contradance.
Be sure to put our next dance on your calendar, Saturday, April 14 with the wonderful Ric Goldman calling and our own High Country Dance Band supplying great music!
After the April dance we will take a break until October when we start up our dance series again. Our dancers (and board members) enjoy their outdoor activities in the summer.
Another dance activity happening throughout the year at the Pine Forest Grange is Modern Western Square Dance. Ron Bell-Roemer will be teaching Mainstream Square Dance lessons for the Bachelor Buttes square dance club starting in the first week of April, see the following flyer for more information. Learning square dance (contra’s close cousin) can help you with positioning, timing, and styling for the more intricate contra dancing done at weekend events in the Valley. Completing mainstream lessons also allows you to dance at any mainstream square dance club across the US. Square dance links are here: Central Oregon , State of Oregon , USA
Keep checking this webpage and our facebook page for late breaking info, sometimes we have impromptu events during the summer. The past two summers we’ve had basic level contras at Crow’s Feet Commons on Art Walk Fridays. One way to keep in the loop is to have us add you to our email reminder list – send us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org . Don’t forget to check our links page for other related Central Oregon music and dance.
